ABOUT NEHA

MISSION STATEMENT
The New England Homeopathic Academy, Inc. is a non-profit organization of homeopathic health care professionals dedicated to:          

• build community among professional homeopaths and advocates of homeopathy
• promote homeopathic education           
• advance homeopathic knowledge           
• foster professional and ethical excellence in homeopathic practice

Building Community

NEHA promotes fellowship by providing an opportunity for networking and mutual support by:        
• organizing regional gatherings which offer a nurturing and welcoming space, where members can share insights, concerns, fun, tools, topical breakfasts etc.      
• implementing Internet based communication and information        
• supporting and forming study groups for practitioners and students         
• promoting workshops about practice management and strategies, about self-care as a practitioner.

Promoting Homeopathic Education

NEHA is committed to high quality homeopathic education by:        
• hosting and promoting quality teaching at affordable cost            
• organizing regional conference cases where practitioners share successful cases and insights with their fellow practitioners        
• supporting quality teaching events in New England        
• supporting apprenticeship with qualified practitioners in New England        
• providing access to a calendar of homeopathic events in the US and abroad        
• fostering education for the general public and the medical community        
• establishing a lending library of educational materials available to its members

Advancing Homeopathic Knowledge

NEHA strives to expand homeopathic knowledge by:        
• organizing case conferences to cover cured difficult cases, lesser known remedies, knowledge and understanding of the materia medica         
• fostering research and the writing and publishing of relevant papers        
• developing and fostering efficient methods of teaching homeopathy

Fostering Professional and Ethical Excellence

In an effort to foster the integrity of the homeopathic profession, NEHA  is committed to develop/sustain/uphold high standards of professional and ethical excellence by:        

• presenting teachers who abide by the ethical standards specified in the Council for Homeopathic Certification’s (CHC) documents. NEHA supports respect for confidentiality, as well as mutual respect between students and teachers and between patients and practitioners.    
    
• promoting teachings that are based on                  
- a solid grasp of the philosophy of homeopathy                 
- a deep and wide knowledge of Materia Medica                 
- cases that are cured in a significant way on a long term basis.
